Creating an Anti-Ragging Committee is a crucial step in ensuring student safety, maintaining discipline. In accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Indian Nursing Council (INC), the following Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted to ensure a ragging-free environment in our Campus.
Objectives of the Committee
- >> To prohibit, prevent, and eliminate the ragging in all its forms.
- >> To address any complaints related to ragging and take immediate action.
- >> To promote a safe, conducive and respectful environment, especially for new students.
- >> To create awareness about the consequences of ragging through workshops, seminars, and orientation sessions.
- >> To ensure compliance with UGC/INC regulations regarding anti-ragging.
- >> To review policies and procedures periodically to strengthen anti-ragging mechanisms.
Responsibilities of the Anti-Ragging Committe
- >> Ensure anti-ragging policies are visibly displayed throughout the campus.
- >> Conduct periodic inspections in hostels, canteens, corridors, and other student gathering areas.
- >> Establish a confidential mechanism for reporting ragging incidents (suggestion/complaint box, email, helpline).
- >> Coordinate with hostel wardens, class coordinators, and the student welfare cell to monitor student behavior.
- >> Take strict disciplinary action in confirmed cases of ragging as per UGC regulations.
- >> Submit regular reports to the university and affiliating bodies regarding anti-ragging measures and incidents.

Duties of the Anti-Ragging Squad
- >> Perform random checks in hostel premises and campus areas.
- >> Maintain a zero-tolerance approach and act swiftly if a ragging incident is suspected.
- >> Ensure day and night monitoring in sensitive zones like hostels, canteens and corridors during the first few weeks of new admissions.
- >> Provide immediate support and counseling to the victim, if needed.
- >> Report findings to the Anti-Ragging Committee for further action.

- >> Anti-ragging posters and awareness campaigns across campus.
- >> Mandatory anti-ragging affidavits from students and parents.
- >> CCTV surveillance in key areas.
- >> Regular orientation programs.
