ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

  • The department of BBA was established in the year of 2007. The department has 3 teaching faculties and with 150 students. Our faculty members published more number of articles in reputed National and International Journals. With the best and most dedicated faculty the department caters to the needs of around 50 students annually.
  • The Department offered programs is very much hunted after by a very large section of students of both genders, who craving in excelling in Principles of Management, Business Communication, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Banking, Production and Material Management.
  • The distinguishing feature of the department is its B-Corps Association which fulfils the innate abilities and talents of students as well as showcases their organizational and leadership skills. Additionally, the department places emphasis on hands on learning through projects, industrial visits, seminars, conferences and in plant training of field level experts pinched from both academe and industry .
  • Our department aims at providing professional education with broad intellectual understanding with creative leading techniques, decision making with the support of new technologies and ability to work in different culture and environment.
  • This course trains youngster into energetic executive and budding managers with administrative capabilities. The Department involves students in interactive classes where they can learn, acquire skills and form attitudes and values appropriate form of managerial and professional courses in business, industry and government. Specifically the programs are designed to assure that participants develop an integrated body of knowledge in the business and management of modern organization.

    BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION:

  • BBA programmed is designed keeping in mind the needs of a dynamic business world, such that our UG students understand how to find their way to a job role mapped to their long term goals. The BBA program focuses on fundamentals of business principles in Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Legal, Projects, Extracurricular Activities and Internships.
  • The BBA programmed places the students as Business Executives and Managers who are equipped to take on Leadership Positions by virtue of getting a foundation in Theory, Practical’s, Seminars, Guest lectures program. This study program equips students with necessary skills to undertake relevant work experience before pursuing their Post graduate studies.

    IN-PLANT TRAINING AND MAIN RESERCH PROJECT:

  • Students of II BBA are to undergo mandatory in-plant training for a period of 15 days as per the periyar university curriculum. In order to expose them; selves to practical happenings in the industry and society. They are supposed to record the experience and are to submit the same as a mini project report, which will constitute grades in the academic profile.
  • Students of final BBA are to under go mandatory main projects research, where they are to take up a problem of research in the areas of management. During the period, students are to visit their concerned project company for an analyzing the problem and collecting details and data regarding, to fulfill their problem. Report regarding the research work has to be submitted to the university and viva-voce will be held, where the students’ research work will be graded and added to their academic profile.
